KEENStart™  offers educational opportunities and programs around entrepreneurship, design-thinking and innovation strategies.

By designing entrepreneurial experiences outside the traditional classroom, KEENStart™ prepares Kentucky teens for an innovation economy and enables them to understand the rigors of creating a company. Entrepreneurship is a journey of ambiguity. KEENStart™ brings a framework to the process and helps teens see themselves as leaders who are capable of building enterprises and strong communities.

KEENStart is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.

The Governor's School for Entrepreneurs (GSE) is a residential summer program where creative, free-thinking teens learn and do product innovation and business model design. GSE’s exploratory environment combines exposes teens to the business model canvas, design-thinking, and lean startup methodology. GSE gives teens an authentic glimpse into entrepreneurship and continues to develop them along their entrepreneurial journey.

Are you in college and interested in the process of creating a company? Then check out one of KEENStart’s new offerings, the KY Pitch competition. This Business Plan/Model Competition is designed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship by engaging students from Kentucky’s postsecondary colleges and universities and providing an opportunity to develop and pursue their business ideas. The competition will reward business models and plans that are judged by an independent panel as most innovative, complete and most likely to result in successful ventures that would create new jobs for Kentuckians.
